Carly fires point-blank

The quiet of the hospital room was shatter by the blast of gunfire. 9 slugs pumped into the bedsheets. The smell of gunpowder filled the air.

''It's done. Can we go home now?'' Carly whined as she handed Jason the gun.

''No we have to make sure.'' Jason approached the bed reaching to check the pulse of the deathly still body. As he leaned across the bed, he felt the cold steel on a revolver at his temple.

''I got you this time AngerBoy!'' Marcus Taggert grabbed Jason, threw him against the wall, then quickly frisked and handcuffed him. ''Jason Morgan you are under arrest!'' At the same time two officers grabbed and subdued Carly.

''Hey! What's going on here!''

Alexis appeared from the shadows, her arm in a sling but perfectly healthy. ''You're going to jail Carly!''
What happens next?
Carly and Jason are tried and convicted together
Carly is convicted but Jason goes free
