She saw Kinder's body floating in the water

AJ turned to see the body as well. He knew before she spoke.

“I killed him,” she cried. “He was so angry. He wouldn’t let me go… Oh god, AJ!”

Out on the dock lay a bloody oar to the small rowboat tethered to the pier.

“Don’t worry,” he said, holding her tight. “It was self-defense. The police will see that.”

Keesha’s eyes went wide with fear. “No! They can’t find out about this, AJ. Please!”

AJ had the feeling Kinder had done more than rough her up. Her clothes were torn and rumpled. But she seemed dazed, almost delirious. “Keesha, look at me,” he said. Her eyes caught his, but refused to focus. He rolled up her shirt sleeve and grimaced.

Needle marks.

Kinder had shot her up with something potent.

What happens next?
AJ tries to contain the situation, asking his parents for help.
AJ rushes Keesha to the hospital and calls Justus to take care of Kinder's body.
