“Well, heck, if it isn’t happy-hour at the old dumping grounds…” Luke grinned. He shifted his eyes to the car. “Nasty thing to see the ADA out here getting her lovely hands dirty. So, who do you have stowed in the trunk? Anyone I know?”

“I don’t think so,” Justus responded grimly. He really didn’t want Luke prying into this. There was still bad blood between them.

“What’d ya do, Justus – whack him over the head with a baseball bat?”

Justus rolled his eyes, feeling Dara’s curious gaze on him. Kinder continued to pound and kick the inside of the trunk. “You know Luke, it’d probably be best if you’d run along now,” he suggested.

Luke could tell his comment struck hard and true. His expression softened as his eyes moved to Dara. “And leave this pretty little thing out here all alone with you? Come on, where’s the chivalry in that?”

“Chivalrous? You?” Dara laughed. “Pahlease….”

“Ouch, baby, you’re wounding my ego,” Luke whined.

“Baby,” Dara scoffed, “You’re ego could use a bit of deflating.”

Justus glanced between the two, realizing something was going on here.

“You called me all the way out here for this?” Luke lovingly teased.

What happens next?
''Wait a minute... YOU and LUKE SPENCER?!'' Justus questioned Dara.
Suddenly Kinder kicked out the backseat, hopped in the driver's seat & took off!
