Carly called Jason

''Come on, Jason, pick up, pick up!'', Carly moaned, sickened and horrified by Sonny's actions. She alway thought Sonny confined violence to his 'business' life, and never dreamed he'd attack innocent people just because they had the misfortune to get iun the way of what he wanted.

Suddenly she wondered if calling Jason was such a good idea. Jason was her best friend, always had been, but Sonny was his employer now. So would Jason's first loyalty be to her...or to Sonny?

''Carly?!'' a voice called from behind her. Carly whirled, dropping her cell hon in the process, finding the man she was both hoping and dreading to see standing before her.

Jason retrieved her cell and then stood silently at her side as the ambulance streaked away into the gloom, siren wailing away into the night.

Suddenly, a horrifying thought crossed Cary's mind.

''Jason,'' she said slowly, ''you didn't, you couldn't...?''

Jason smiled slightly, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. ''I was just visiting Emily. I didn't hurt AJ. But I think I know who did.''

''Oh really? said a voice as Jason stepped protectively in front of Carly. ''And that would be...?''
