sonny goes to lily's grave

Sonny pulled his collar tight against the cold as he approached Lily's grave. He placed a single yellow rose on her headstone.

''I know it's been awhile Lily. A lot of stuff has been happening. Zander is dead. Carly thinks I killed him. Lily, he was my son! Even though he was with Carly, even though they made a baby together, I couldn't hurt him. I don't know who killed him but I'm gonna find out.''

''Carly and I are done. I promised myself I could love her enough for her to let go of her jealousies and insecurities. I thought I could love her enough to stop the lies and deceit. I was wrong. I know that now. She's a bottomless pit of need. She takes and takes and there's no end to it. I forgave her her lies and betrayals. I gave up my best friend! All to make her happy. But it didn't work. She's still not happy. I know now, I can't spend the rest of my life trying to do the impossible. I can't make her happy. She's not making me happy, so we are over and now I'm just trying to pull my life back together.''
