What happens next?Alexis smoothed her hair and forced some color back into her skin. Sonny and Zander hid themselves. Alexis put on hr best smile and answered the door. ''Chloe,'' she said, ''how wonderful to see you. Come in.''
''Hello, Alexis,'' said Chloe, sniffling.
''Why, Chloe, dear, whatever is the matter? You seem troubled by something?'' She knew it sounded fake, but she was a lawyer, not an actress.
''You mean you didn't get Ned's call?'' asked Chloe. ''Alexis, Jax has been burned pretty badly. Someone was jogging and found him burning in a deserted feild. The doctors don't know if he'll--'' She started sobbing. Alexis hugged her, feeling terrible.
''Chloe, I--'' she began. Could she really spill the beans?
