Jason survives, and now is in charge of Sonny's empire, while Sonny is missing.
Sonny is paralyzed and being nursed back to health by a couple who hates him.

Jason and courtney find sonny on the dock Near death
What happens next?As Jason and Courtney rush to help Sonny, an explosion rocks the waterfront sending Jason into the cold water below. Courtney screams and tries to look for Jason, but she can't find him.
A strange couple find Sonny and pick him up and places him in the back seat of the car.Are they trying to help him? No, they recognize him as Sonny Corinthos, the man who murdered their son years ago. As the car drives away, the woman says to her husband....''We've got him now, and we're gonna make Sonny pay for killing our boy!''
