It's Ned with news about Jax

Alexis answered the phone. ''Hello?''

''Alexis, it's Ned,'' said Ned, sounding troubled. ''Did you get my message before?''

''Yes, I was just on my way to the hospital when Chloe stopped by and then Carly came over.''

''Chloe's there?'' asked Ned. ''I can kill two birds with one stone.''

''What do you mean?'' asked Alexis.

''Alexis,'' he began, slowly. His voice crakced as he tried not to cry, but failed. ''Jax died.''

A tear rolled down Alexis' face. She was responsible. ''When?''

''Just a few minutes ago. He started convulsing and... and flat-lined.'' he said.

''Oh God,'' she said. ''I'll tell Chloe for you.''

Chloe turned to her excitedly. ''Is Jax okay.''

Alexis hung up the phone and shook her head, then turned around so they wouldn't see her crying. Chloe screamed and sobbed, mumbling accusing questions to God. Alexis felt horrible.
